2010
Our goal for 2010 is to continue progressing by competing in even more high-competition events within the United States of America and Europe. Type-Z has been considered a top level team for 6 consecutive years and will continue to strive to improve on past results. Therefore, we will maintain and negotiate new partnerships with players and sponsors in order to be able to compete at the highest level throughout 2010 retaining this top team status.
2009
2009
Throughout this year, Type-Z has kept focus by competing and placing top tier in any tournament that we had a set roster for. We also recruited numerous new and talented players. We hope to continue to expand by gaining new support through sponsorships. We are also evolving as a team by implementing innovative ideas thus advancing our team for the future. In the gaming arena, Type-Z has already begun to dominate. xShinDeon Z has returned from retirement to compete and inspire. xShindeon Z, after a quick return, has already placed 5th in the first Major League Gaming 1v1 Street Fighter 4 tournament. Type-Z is also doing great things on many other gaming genres. These titles include Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Team Fortress 2. The future can only be brighter for Type-Z.
2008
2008 proved to be the year of change for Type-Z. New elite players continued to be added to the roster as well as the start of the new Type-Z sponsored league known as “The Arena.” As life responsibilities became more demanding for the old-school Type-Z players, the need for new and upcoming talent became more severe. As always, Type-Z was able to adjust by assembling new teams while still honoring the older hardcore players. The respect for the players encouraged Type-Z to construct their very own Hall-of-Fame. The gamers inducted played for Type-Z for 4+ years but decided it was time for them to put full focus on other more pressing endeavors. As a team, we honor our great FPS players for the fame and respect they have brought Type-Z and make sure their talent will not be forgotten. The players inducted into the Hall of Fame include: Future, Hulk, Infinity, Jayroc, Ownation, ShinDeon and Str8pimp. Type-Z only competed this year during the spring and winter but with a new force prepared, they focus on 2009.
2007
Type-Z started to take online tournaments more seriously in 2007 which prompted them to compete in Halo 2 and the highly anticipated Xbox 360 title Gears of War at Major League Gaming events. They started the spring and winter seasons off great by winning the Gears of War MGZ and MLG Online tournaments. The team continued to compete in Call of Duty 2, Gears of War, Halo 2 and a few other games throughout the year.
2006
This year Type-Z competed on multiple games. This time, however, the team built onto their online success by building a respectable LAN reputation on the MLG Circuit. In the online category, the team was very successful on one of the most anticipated games the Xbox 360 had to offer: Perfect Dark Zero. Type-Z had an undefeated record in the 1st & 2nd Generation for PDZ (Eradication & Team Killcount) while at the same time holding an undefeated record on Quake 4. The community on Quake 4 was not as big as PDZ’s but the sheer population of old school Unreal and Doom players prompted Type-Z to take the game by storm. We were so dominate on this title that the team earned the title of “Quake-Z.” Next, Type-Z moved to Call of Duty 2 to compete in the BestBuy & Gamespot Online tournaments. Type-Z teamed up with 2 members of the FEAR Clan for the Bestbuy tournament and took 3rd place while the original Type-Z players won $2000 in the Gamespot TV tournament. The LAN success began when Type-Z attended their first MLG event to compete in Halo 2. However, the team suffered through the first event and did not place well. However, Type-Z used this as motivation. The players began practicing hard to gain semi-pro status throughout the rest of the season. With the online and LAN reputation established, Type-Z could only look forward to new games to dominate in 2007.
2003-2005
During this time Type-Z competed on one of the most popular and competitive Xbox titles: Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The team got its reputation while competing on Wolfenstein and a few other online titles. These other titles were not quite as big as RTCW but were respectable. They included Doom 3, Unreal 2: The Awakening, Unreal Championship 2 and Shadow Ops. Even though Type-Z did not compete on Counter Strike, the team would have looked amazing with top players JEPH7 & Noobius. However, ShinDe0n, the leader, had other important and pressing things to manage and decided not to compete on CSX (Counter Strike). Type-Z was always known to have the two best individual players on Unreal. Those players consisted of Sushi X, now known as Sushi Z, and Type-Z’s very own, ShinDe0n. The years of 2003-2005 were just the beginning of Type-Z’s growth into the future. It would only be a matter of time before they reached the professional level.
