Noxide Z in San Fran for Gamestop MW2 $5,000 tourney
February 17th, 2010 by EWalk728

So far MW2 has been making big waves in the pool of competitive gaming. Gamebattles, one of the largest online competition sites, has held multiple tournaments with cash prizes for the champions. Now none of the other tournaments have had the large turnout like this one. The tournament I speak of is the Gamestop MW2 1v1 Tournament. For this tournament Gamestop partnered up with GB to start up the beginning ladders for this event. Thousands of players turned out and now we have 16 left. One of which is John “NoXiDe” Monsalve who will be competing at the live event in San Francisco this weekend. Now gamestop is being a real charmer with this tournament because they are flying out the final 16 players and giving them a hotel to stay in for the weekend. The grand prize for this event is $5,000 for the sole champion of the event. So without further adieu we bring you Noxide Z who will be the one man wrecking crew at this event.

Which match do you all feel was your best?
Wingos: Legacy
Franchise: Definitaley Legacy
Puff: We took two maps on their host so we def did best against them.

How did you all feel as you were coming into the match against “Get Bronco” ?
Franchise: We felt like we had so much momentum and we would beat them.
Wingos: I just wanted to beat them so badly
What changes would you all make in your match against the NSAN3Z?

Hall of fame players Hulk, Str8pimp and Infinity are stepping out of the Z-retirement to compete at this event. For Gears of War, Type-Z:Vision are going in with the original roster. The players wants first place and nothing lower. As the new year begins with the first MLG, Type-Z are starting this year off with official members of Type-Z for both Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. Wish the teams luck. I will keep everyone up to date on Type-Z’s statistic on the forums.

Gears of War: The NSAYN3Z takes 1st and Type-Z Vision placing 2nd
World of Warcraft: CompLexity Black took 1st as CompLexity Red placed 2nd
MLG Weekend has ended as Type-Z Vision took 2nd place in Orlando. Vision was taking victories in 3-0 to 3-1 games against the best. A performance haven’t been seen in a major tournament from Type-Z since ShadowRun when Type-Z took 1st place going up against powerhouse teams back to back like FeaR, Final Boss, iP etc and Halo 2 when Type-Z lost from taking top 8 by 1 kill in the final game of TeamSlayer. Great performance from Vision taking home $20,000 and God bless the future of Type-Z.
